Sharon L. Boes, 69, of Tiffin, passed away Monday morning, Oct. 1, 2012, at her home.
She was born Feb. 9, 1943, in Tiffin, to Emery and Anna Louise (Thom) Whitman. She married John Boes June 27, 1964, and he survives.
Other survivors include a daughter, Jody (Keith) Scaife of Tiffin; two sons, Todd (Shannan) Boes and Brad (Melissa) Boes, both of Tiffin; two sisters, Linda (Bob) Sendelbach of Tiffin and Dawn (James) Jones of Baltimore; seven grandchildren, Nicholas and Andrew Scaife, Nathan, Brook and Brandon Boes, and Emma and Megan Boes; and special nieces and nephews, Kevin, Scott, Chad, Ryan and Melisa Sendelbach and Kennedy and Kortney Jones.

Sharon was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Tiffin, and a 1961 graduate of Jackson-Liberty High School and Tiffin University. She worked in the office for Fleck Electric for 19 years and in the office at K-Mart for 21 years. Sharon cleaned for seven years at St. Francis Convent and North Central Ohio Educational Service Center for 18 years.
Sharon was a 4-H adviser for 25 years and a member of Beta Sigma Phi for more than 5 years. She enjoyed camping at Meadowbrook Park, attending the Seneca County Fair and was a Cleveland Indians fan. Sharon cared about everyone, including her dogs, and especially her family and grandchildren. They were her life.
Her Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Tiffin, with the Rev. Gary Walters officiating. A rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to the Mass. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Tiffin.
Friends may visit with the family 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, OH 44883, (419) 447-2424. A wake service will begin at 4:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Financial Assistance for Cancer Treatment (FACT) or the Humane Society of Seneca County.
