A son, Shane Nelson Cook, was born Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012, to Shayle Freeman and Walter Cook of Sycamore. Shane weighed 7 pounds, 14 ounces, and measured 21 inches long.
Maternal grandparents are Misty and Steve Oler of Sycamore. Paternal grandparents are Sue and Jim Cook of Sycamore. Maternal great-grandparents are Barb and Ronald Smith of Benton. Paternal great-grandparents are Sally Cook and Margaret Nugent, both of Tiffin.
