Three people were charged after Tiffin Police Department responded to a report of people seen entering vehicles along Liberty Street early Saturday morning.
Sgt. Mark Marquis said Cyle J. Carter, 22, of Tiffin, and James A. Stanforth, 23, of Tiffin, were charged with obstructing official business, receiving stolen property and criminal tools. They were being held on bond in Seneca County Jail Saturday.
Stanforth's wife, Ashley N. Stanforth, 27, of Tiffin, was charged with obstructing official business and receiving stolen property and was released on summons, Marquis said.

They are suspected of being involved in dozens of vehicle entries throughout Tiffin, he said.
Saturday, police took reports of vehicles being entered or thefts from vehicles at Clinton Avenue and East Perry Street, and Summit, Liberty, Greenfield and Johnson streets. Police responded to a report of suspicious people seen entering vehicles, and a witness followed them and directed an officer to their location, he said.
Three people were found hiding at the rear of 30 Riverside Drive and were taken into custody. They were found to be in possession of a large amount of stolen property they admitted was taken from vehicles throughout the city, Marquis said.
He said police recovered car chargers, CDs, GPS units, an iPod, jewelry and other items, which all was found to have been taken Saturday morning.
Carter, James Stanforth and Ashley Stanforth will appear in Tiffin Municipal Court Monday, he said.
Marquis said police are appreciative of the witness who called in the report and was able to help police locate them. Citizens are encouraged to report suspicious activity, he said.
