Five years ago, unemployment was around 5 percent; now, it's higher than 8 percent. The real number is closer to 16 percent, but who will bother to look up the statistics? Is this better than four years ago?
People on public assistance is 47 percent. Our president signed an executive order saying those people don't even have to look for a job anymore. Do you call this better than four years ago?
Do you realize it takes 40 percent more from your paycheck to buy groceries, pay for your electric, pay for your health care and pay for your gas? Do you call this better than four year ago?
Our AAA credit rating has been downgraded and might be downgraded again. In these four years, another $5 trillion has been added to our debt. Is this better than four years ago?
We are a slave to this debt. Our children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren are on the hook for this debt.
