FINDLAY - The American Red Cross of Hancock County announced David Conley will be serving as the Director of the American Red Cross of Fostoria-Seneca County. Conley retired from the U.S. Coast Guard after 22 years of service and lives with his family in Carey.
While in the Coast Guard, Conley served in several leadership roles, Communications Unit Leader for multi-agency response efforts for emergent and scheduled events including weather related disasters, political events, law enforcement operations and events of national significance.
"While in the Coast Guard, I served on many humanitarian missions," Conley said, "and when I retired, I wanted a second career that allowed me to continue to serve my community. The Red Cross is the premier disaster relief organization in the world and I know from firsthand experience their work in supporting the military and military families. I am very honored to be part of this great organization and look forward to working with our volunteer and partners, he said."
Conley begins Monday.
