David E. Raudebaugh, 86, of Tiffin, left this world for his eternal home the same date he came into this world, Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012, at Mercy Tiffin Hospital.
David was born Sept. 23, 1926, in Tiffin, to Arthur M. and Rachel (Osborn) Raudebaugh. He first married Marilyn (Gittinger); they later divorced, and he then married Lois (Stewart). Both women preceded him in death.
Other survivors include his six children, Francis (Frank) Raudebaugh, Wayne Raudebaugh, JoAnne (Jerry) Collins, Linda Sutter (Carl Werner) and Karen Magers, all of Tiffin, and Tim (Carol) Grabor of Westerville; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a brother, Alton Raudebaugh of Tiffin; a sister, Esther Zinnamon of Beaverton, Ore.; and dear friend, Mary Tyree of Bettsville.
David retired from Webster after 21 years. He attended the Second United Church of Christ and was a member of the VFW, a life member of Green Springs American Legion, AMVETS and the Tiffin Eagles. David was a 1944 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School and a U.S. Navy veteran serving during World War II.
David also was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Frederick Raudebaugh; three grandsons; and three sisters, Mary Kinney, Ethel Channels and Lucille Irwin.
His funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012, at Engle-Shook Funeral Home and Crematory, 135 N. Washington St., Tiffin, OH 44883, (419) 447-1221, with the Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmont Cemetery, Tiffin, with military rites being rendered by the United Veterans Council.
There will be visitation for family and friends 3-7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
