BURGOON - A Fostoria teenager was taken by Life Flight to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center after an accident in Sandusky County's Jackson Township Monday morning.
Kayla M. Hackworth, 17, was listed in fair condition Monday night, a hospital spokeswoman said.
She was a passenger in a vehicle driven by Allison M. Steele, 17, of Fostoria.
According to a release from State Highway Patrol, Steele was driving a 2000 Dodge Avenger eastbound on CR 13, and Darrell D. Magrum, 57, of Tiffin, was driving a 1993 Chevrolet 2500 truck northbound on SR 635.
Steele's vehicle failed to yield from a stop sign, pulled into the path of the truck and was struck on the passenger side, it states.
Lt. Brent Meredith of the Fremont post of State Highway Patrol said all three people were wearing seatbelts.
Bettsville and Kansas fire departments and Sandusky County EMS assisted at the scene of the accident, which occurred just before 8 a.m., according to the release.
The crash remained under investigation Monday afternoon, Meredith said.
