Dorothy J. Haman, 81, of Briarfield of Milan, passed away Tuesday morning, Sept. 18, 2012, in the emergency room at Fisher Titus Medical Center, Norwalk.
She was born Nov. 17, 1930, in Tiffin, to Clyde and Nina (Ready) Dayton. She married Paul L. Haman Jan. 19, 1952, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Tiffin, and he preceded her in death.
Survivors include her daughter, Paula (Tony) Sehlhorst of Bloomville; her son, Rick (Linda) Haman of Fostoria; three grandchildren, Greg (Heather) Sehlhorst, Adam (Samantha) Haman and Nicholas Haman; and four great-grandchildren, Erin, Mercedes, Autumn and Cade.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Paul, William and Richard Dayton; and one sister, Grace Anway.
Dorothy graduated in 1948 from Tiffin Columbian High School and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Tiffin. She retired as a secretary from the lab at Mercy Tiffin Hospital. She enjoyed reading, watching television, knitting, crocheting and playing bingo.
Her funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Tiffin, with the Rev. Gary Walters officiating. The rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to the Mass. There will be no burial at this time.
