FOSTORIA - Saturday, a variety of events are to take place in Fostoria.
The day begins with the final Fostoria Farmers' Market 9 a.m.1 p.m. at KeyBank, downtown at 133 W. Tiffin St. The theme is fall harvest.
In addition to fresh produce and fall flowers,various vendors will be there to wrap up the season. Fresh produce from Rimelspach's and Joseph's, fall flowers from Fostoria Garden Club and baked goods from Buggy Whip Bakery, Nonnie's Goodies and Arcadia Methodist Church are to be available.
The Fostoria Rail Festival is scheduled 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at Fostoria Intermediate Elementary School, 1202 HL Ford Drive, Fostoria. Entries for the Lens-Eye View photo contest are to be on display at the school. The festival features model train displays, children's activities, rail fan merchandise, railroad art by Bob Lorenz,
and concessions by Fostoria City Schools.

SCAT vehicles will be available to take visitors for tours of the Iron Triangle, the depots, the rail park site and the Jackson Street Tower.

Fostoria Community Arts Council is to host an open house noon-4 p.m. at 125 S. Main St. during the Rail Festival. On exhibit will be the multimedia artwork entitled "Clay - Brush - Lens" by artists Ralph Stuckman, Anna Talei and Ron Fisher.
These artists have brought an unusual mix of tile art, clay, pottery, paintings and photography from the Wapakoneta area for display and for sale to kick off the FCAC Fall Fundraiser. The artwork is to be on display through Oct. 31 and the Halloween parade.
Refreshments are to be served at this free event.
