A Fremont man was in Seneca County Jail Tuesday after being indicted on a felonious assault charge for allegedly assaulting a Tiffin man in July.
Karl J. Elliott Jr., 32, was booked in the jail Friday, a jail spokesman said. Elliott allegedly assaulted Matthew Glick, who was found bleeding in an alley in downtown Tiffin July 16, and was indicted by a Seneca County grand jury Aug. 8.
A U.S. Marshals Service spokesman said Elliott was arrested by U.S. Marshal Task Force at a Crown Inn hotel in Lake Township, Wood County, Friday morning and was taken to Seneca County Jail. Elliott had been on the run since the warrant was issued, he said.

A spokeswoman in Common Pleas Court Judge Michael Kelbley's office said Elliott appeared in court Monday, and his bond was set at $20,000 with 10 percent allowed. He is to have no contact with the alleged victim, she said.
Tiffin Police Department had received several 911 calls about the incident in July.
Chief Fred Stevens said there was a verbal argument, but he declined to comment about what started the argument. There was no weapon, he said.
Stevens has said Glick, who suffered a head injury, was unconscious when an officer arrived and went in and out of consciousness. Glick first was taken to Mercy Tiffin Hospital by Tiffin EMS and then was taken by Life Flight to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo.
Stevens said Tuesday Glick had been released from the hospital.
Elliott had been found guilty of credit card fraud and is on federal supervised release, the marshal spokesman said.
