Zach Garver scored twice in each half Tuesday to fuel Liberty-Benton's 6-2 win over Columbian.

Garver's first goal put the Eagles up 2-0 in the sixth minute, and his second 26 minutes later put L-B up 3-2.

Spencer Pauley put the Tornadoes (2-5) on the board in the seventh minute by converting a John Obringer pass, and Nathaniel Gilmer's penalty kick knotted the score at 2 in the 32nd minute.

The Eagles controlled the second half, with Garver scoring in the 46th and 72nd minutes while Peyton Schroeder had a goal in the 54th minute.

Drew Dole's goal in the fourth minute got L-B rolling.

Dillon Burkett had two saves for the Eagles, who out-shot Columbian 13-5. Josh Gibson stopped six shots for TC.

TC tennis still perfect in league

Norwalk bunches up to beat TC

Only five strokes separated Norwalk's Nos. 1-4. The balance was key for the Truckers as they edged out Columbian 174-176.

Columbian's Jack Burkes had the low round of the day, firing a 38. Bryce Creamer backed him with a 41, Clayton Neal carded a 48 and T.J. Wickham shot a 49.

Travis Cring led Norwalk with a 41 and was followed right behind by Mason Berry's 42. Jacob Gilson added a 45 and Thomas Smith shot a 46.
