$1,333.33 to remove a tree!
You got to be kidding me.
Buried in an A-T article Tuesday about federal grant funds unspent, under old business: "Cost of removal (three trees) is $4,000." Commissioner Dave Sauber commented that the cost was high, but necessary.
I recently had two trees removed from my property, one because of a storm ($400), the other a 40-foot ash ($600).
Do the math. We (taxpayers) are getting ripped off. If it was a local tree service, maybe some of that money will stay in Seneca county.
