Bond set for robbery, chase suspect

A robbery suspect who led Tiffin police on a pursuit Sunday appeared in court Monday morning where his bond was set at $137,000.

Brian A. Steward, 32, of Fostoria, who was arrested Sunday evening after he crashed his vehicle in downtown Tiffin following a pursuit, appeared in Tiffin Municipal Court on charges of theft, retaining property, possession of drug paraphernalia, fleeing and eluding, forgery, having fictitious plates, operating a vehicle while intoxicated, driving under suspension, reckless operation and failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead.

He and his passenger, Robyn Lundy, 31, of Fostoria, are suspects in an aggravated robbery that was reported Sunday at a Circle K in Fostoria. She also was arrested following the crash and has been charged with aggravated robbery in Fostoria Municipal Court. She is scheduled to appear in court today on the charge.

Steward is scheduled to appear again in Tiffin Municipal Court Sept. 26. According to a release from the Tiffin Police Department, Steward also faces a charge of complicity to aggravated robbery.
