A person was transported to the hospital after they were assaulted following a motor vehicle accident Friday afternoon at the intersection of Miami and Elmer streets.
Tiffin Police Officer Gary McClure said a mentally handicapped man, who was a passenger in a vehicle involved in the accident, exited the vehicle following the accident and assaulted an occupant of the other vehicle.
That person was transported to Mercy Tiffin Hospital. No arrests were made, McClure said.
