An annual youth pheasant hunt is set for Oct. 20 at the Sandusky River Coon Hunters club house, 7325 W. TR 131.
To register for the drawing, youth ages 17 and younger should send an email to sencopf@yahoo.
com that includes name, address, phone number and age as of Oct. 20. If a shotgun is needed, note it in the email. There are only a few guns available for use.
To participate, a current hunting license is required, as well as a blaze orange vest or hat.
A $5 fee covers insurance and registration as a ringneck,
the Pheasants Forever youth program.
Shells are to be provided for .12- and .20-gauge shotguns. Anyone using a different shotgun must provide shells.
Ten clay birds are to be thrown for each youth to practice before the hunt.
Food is to be provided,
along with door prizes and raffle items.
