Jeanice Olmstead, 77, of Bettsville, passed away at 9:40 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012, at Fremont Memorial Hospital.
Jeanice was born Sept. 26, 1934, in Sycamore, to Bruce (Maude) Johnson. She married Calvin R. Olmstead Dec. 16, 1950, in Fostoria, and he survives in Bettsville.
Other survivors include her two children, Karen (Mike) Bower of Fremont and Ronald Olmstead of Bettsville; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Irene Linnabery of Rockford, Ill.
Jeanice worked as a seamstress at Costume Holiday House, Fremont, and was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Fremont.
Jeanice was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Gary Olmstead; a granddaughter; four brothers, Austin Wagner, Alfred Wagner, Donald Richards and John Johnson; and three sisters, Viola Schaeffer, Betty Everhart and Florence Margraf.
There will be a graveside service at Pleasant Union Cemetery, Old Fort, at a later date. Engle-Shook Funeral Home and Crematory, Bettsville, is assisting the family with their arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Lutheran Church or to a charity of the donor's choice.
