Daniel gets win, but Calvert drops match

Calvert's Madison Daniel scored a 6-2, 6-1 win against Fremont St. Joe's Katie Blohm, but the Streaks took the match, 4-1.

Ceci Burtis fell to St. Joe's Tricia Reinhart, 7-6, 6-1, while the Streaks' Kendra Molyet stopped Margret Bowers, 6-3, 4-6, 6-4.

In doubles play, Calvert's duo of Regina Hoepf and Nicole Fretz lost to St. Joe's Dani Baez and Ashley Burns, 6-2, 6-3. The Streaks' team of Caroline Darr and Madie Collins nipped Stasia Huth-Fretz and Samantha Gase, 3-6, 6-4, 6-1.

Calvert dropped to 1-5.

Clark lone bright spot for Rams

UPPER SANDUSKY -Taylor Clark picked up a win at first singles, but that was the only highlight for Upper Sandusky as it fell to Galion, 4-1.

Clark defeated Kayla Laforest, 3-6, 6-1, 7-5.

Galion's Raven Crawford knocked off Kilee Saylor, 6-2, 6-1, then the Tigers' Sierra Johnson topped the Jenny Ohler, 6-3, 6-4.

In doubles play, Kelsey Cassady and Sara Cassady defeated Upper Sandusky's Logan Pierson and Taylor Dilley, 6-1, 6-1. Also for the Tigers, Donetta Lester and Katelyn Smith beat Nadia English and Megan Pasco, 6-1, 6-1.
