Members of the Tiffin Architectural Review Board meet Tuesday afternoon to continue discussions on updating guidelines.
Chairman John Huss said he is working to create a digital copy of the guidelines to be published online, and said that makes now an ideal time to make changes.
There was no action taken, but the board discussed a number of subjects within the guidelines, including the application process, doors, windows, storefronts and awnings. Potential changes include notifying the fire chief of petitions to modify doors and windows and modifying the city ordinance on awnings to increase the foot-print greater than three feet.
Board members discussed the importance of having a board to set the architectural standards, which include opportunities for grants, preserving the historical stock of the downtown and maintaining the overall look for the benefit of businesses and property owners.
