Sad truths about America

September 11, 2012
The Advertiser-Tribune

Let's get this first one out of the way: It has been made painfully obvious that your vote does not count, unless you are supporting the same candidate that the establishment supports ... as was shown at the Republican National Convention, when they changed the rules in order for Romney to get the nomination and to silence all Ron Paul supporters. The entire primaries were a sham and were "won" by Romney with thug-like tactics.

Second, the Constitution and Bill Of Rights are used more like toilet paper than documents this country was built on. A few examples are: Bush with the signing of the Patriot Act; Obama re-signing the Patriot Act and pushing for the NDAA; the police using cell phone records without a warrant; the constant monitoring of your private Internet use; and the First Amendment being completely trashed right before our eyes.

Third, we are in the middle of raising (hands down) the dumbest generation of kids ever! The schools - or as I like to call them, indoctrination clinics - are a joke! Kids are being told what to think, not taught how to think for themselves. We spend more money on keeping our military at war than we ever have on education. If the elites who make the policies actually wanted you to be smart and think for yourself, then the money would be the other way around. As it stands now, you are taught just enough to keep their machines running, but not enough to build your own machine and profit from it.

Fourth, you are not free! You are given the illusion of the freedom of choice, as long as you choose something within the establishment's narrow guidelines. You are kept under constant surveillance and are being held hostage by this ever-growing police state. The media tell you what to buy, how to act, what's important and who to vote for! You are kept in constant fear so the government can strip your rights away, one by one, all in the name of security.

The fifth and final thing - no one is going to protect you but you! The courts all over the country have said on many occasions that the police are not there to protect you, they are there to enforce the laws and policies set by the rich and powerful. The police do not carry weapons to protect you or your home, it is to protect them. You are told that you need protection from terrorists, right? Well, did you know that you are almost 30 times more likely to get killed by a cop than killed by a terrorist?

The sad truth about America is that it more closely resembles Hitler's Germany than it does a free and prosperous society.
