Robert "Doc" Michael Marshall, 59, of Tiffin, went to be with Jesus on Sept. 8, 2012.
He was born Oct. 6, 1952, to Robert M. Marshall and Mary Miler Marshall in Defiance. On June 21, 1974, he married Pamela Hostettler. Robert and Pamela made their home in Tiffin, Ohio.
He is survived by his loving spouse of 38 years, Pamela; two daughters; Christina (Jerrod) Augsburger of Fostoria, and Ginger Marshall (Starr Coffman) of Tiffin; one son, Jeremiah (Michelle) Marshall of Holgate; one sister, Pat Marshall of Defiance; and six grandchildren, Arionna Marshall, Willow Marshall, Noah Weimerskirch, Harmony Marshall, Lincoln Augsburger and Jeremiah Marshall II.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Jeanne ("Yancy") Derringer.
Doc attended school at Fairview High School and earned an associate's degree from Northwest State. When he was not spending time with his family and friends, he enjoyed playing guitar, singing karaoke, camping, collecting Hot Wheels and working on cars. He was a master mechanical tinkerer and could often be found in the garage.
Visitation is 2-8 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2012, at Hanenkrath-Clevenger-Schaffer Funeral Home Inc., Defiance.
His funeral service is 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12, at St. John Lutheran Church, Defiance, with the Rev. Donald L. Luhring officiating; a cremation will follow.
