Joan Hensley, 84, died at 11:40 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012, at her residence.
She was born Jan. 3, 1928, in Breathit County, Ky. to Goodloe and Lula (Craft) Hensley. She married Jess Hensley on May 9, 1946, and he died Sept. 5, 2001.
Survivors are six children, Ronald (Naomi) Hensley of Findlay, Donald (Linda) Hensley of Jerry City, Judy (John) Sprague of Mount Gilead, Wanda (Chris) Mullholand of Carey, Thomas Jefferson (Joyce) Hensley of Fostoria and Jeanette (Tim) Kizer of Upper Sandusky; two brothers, Floyd Hensley of Danville, Mich., and Matt Hensley of Pleasant Lake, Mich.; two sisters, Bonnie Atkins of Carey, and Jessie Marshall of Pleasant Lake, Mich.; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; one sister, Alma Horn; and two brothers, Earl and Preston Hensley.
Mrs. Hensley was a member of Pentecostal Ladies Ministry and Lighthouse Pentecostal Church of God, Carey.
Her funeral is 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2012, at Lighthouse Pentecostal Church of God, Carey, with the Revs. Billy and Bobby Turner officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Grove Cemetery, Carey.
Visitation is 2-9 p.m. today, Monday, Sept. 10, at Beach Funeral Home, Carey.
