September 10, 2012
The Advertiser-Tribune

FREMONT - Fremont Mayor Jim Ellis is to be at Birchard Library at 7 p.m. Tuesday to lead the first StoryWalk on the library grounds.

StoryWalk is a program designed to encourage people to get out and walk while enjoying children's books. Storybooks are taken apart and posted on stakes along a path for readers to follow the story as they walk the route.

Ellis is to read "Sheep Take a Hike" during a walk through the library. The book will be available outdoors through October and new books will be added in the future.

For more information about the project, call the Birchard Library Children's department at (419) 334.7101, ext. 209.
