MONROEVILLE - Mason McWilliams hauled in a 3-yard pass for the game's lone score and Seneca East's defense locked up Monroeville's ground game Friday for a 7-0 win.

Ethan Caudill found McWilliams for the touchdown with eight minutes to play, and the Tigers allowed only 29 yards on the ground.

Caudill went 6 of 11 passing for 75 yards and Jordan Phillips ended 7 of 13 for another 92 passing yards. Jared Walker added 79 yards on 13 carries for Seneca East.

Rangers roar back in second half

NORTHWOOD - Hopewell-Loudon took the lead and momentum into halftime. It took Northwood eight seconds to take it all back.

Stephen Fuller raced 64 yards on the first play of the third quarter and Anthony Prothero's conversion run put the Rangers up 8-7, and Northwood rolled from there Friday in a 35-7 whipping of H-L.

The Chieftains (1-2) snapped a scoreless tie on Alec Gregg's 10-yard toss to Kevin Coppus with 7 seconds left in the first half, with Coppus hitting the PAT boot for a 7-0 lead.

Fuller and Prothero put Northwood on top for good, and the Rangers added Jordan Schell's 2-yard TD plunge and Brandon Kretz's 50-yard interception return to build a 21-7 lead by the end of the third quarter.

Nick Russell crashed in from a yard out less than three minutes into the fourth quarter, and Schell tacked on a 27-yard scoring run late in the game.

Russell ended 10 of 15 passing for 141 yards. Jacob Davenport caught seven passes for 91 yards and Dominik Bermejo had five receptions for 50 yards. Schell (7-40), Fuller (5-64) and Prothero (16-40) combined for 28 carries for 144 yards.

Alec Gregg hit on 14 of his 31 passes for 178 yards for the Chieftains, but also threw two picks. Mark Bouillon caught eight passes for 115 yards.

Plymouth rocks Bucks

PLYMOUTH - Hunter Bailey threw for one score and ran for another Friday as Plymouth upended Buckeye Central 13-6.

Buckeye Central led 6-0 after a Michael Adkins TD run, but Bailey found Tyrell Edmiston for a 9-yard scoring pass and the Big Red added a PAT for a 7-6 advantage.

It stayed that way until the fourth when Bailey tacked on a touchdown run.

Adkins ran 23 times for 122 yards for the Bucks, but Plymouth held them to 36 yards passing while picking off three passes.

Lakota wins for second-straight week

OREGON - Kody Brewer returned an interception 80 yards for Lakota's first points, and Tiger Jaso added a 4-yard touchdown as the Raiders knocked off Cardinal Stritch, 12-7.

Lakota won for the second-straight week, improving to 2-1 this season.

Stritch dropped to 1-2.
