Michael L. Fry, 66, of Tiffin, passed away Sunday morning, Sept. 2, 2012, at Elmwood at the Springs, Green Springs.
He was born Sept. 3, 1945, Fremont, he was born to Kenneth and Rowena (Roope) Fry. He married Janice Taylor Nov. 26, 1976.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Jan; son, Brent (Tiffany) Fry of Tiffin; stepsons, Richard (Craig McCoy) Carlson of Atlanta, Steven (Stephanie) Carlson of McComb, Kevin Carlson of Hendersonville, N.C.; stepdaughter, Connie (Dan) Way of Tiffin; brother, Lonnie Fry of Tiffin; sisters, Emily Kizer of Tiffin and Andrea (David) Omlor of Old Fort; 11 grandchildren, Evan and Alisa Fry, David Carlson, Kristie Davis, Aaron Way, Tyler, Taylor, Tia and Taryn Brickman and Jamie and Joseph Carlson; and 2 great-grandchildren, Candyce Buckamner and Juvencia Gannon.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ronnie Fry.
Mike was a member of Old Fort United Methodist Church and a 1963 graduate of Old Fort High School.
He drove truck for 25 years, working for Gillmor Trucking, Matlack, delivering MRI units to area hospitals, and independently owning his own. He retired as a truck inspector with the Ohio State Highway Patrol in 2003.
Mike enjoyed camping, traveling, restoring anything with wheels, and was a Three Stooges and John Wayne fan.
His funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, 2012, with Pastor John Alice officiating at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, OH 44883. There will be no burial.
Friends may visit 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5 and 10-11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center or the Seneca County Humane Society.
