Brewer rushes for 159, Lakota D blanks Gibsonburg

KANSAS - Lakota's defense shut down Gibsonburg's offense while the Raiders' own offense tallied 316 rushing yards in a 27-0 win Friday night.

Albert Guerra began the attack with a 46-yard run to the end zone, which was followed by a Tiger Jaso score.

In the third quarter, Kody Brewer's 22 yard pass to Ed Racheter went for a touchdown. Guerra then scored a five-yard run in the fourth.

Brewer led the Raiders with 159 yards rushing.

Chieftains rush to a win

BLOOMDALE - Hopewell-Loudon broke away in the second quarter and never looked back, dropping Elmwood, 36-20.

Alec Gregg threw for two touchdowns and ran in one while Jordan Stewart, Cody Malone and Marc Bouillon each scored. Malone rushed 20 times for 113 yards while Bouillon had 14 rushing attempts for 112 yards.

As a team, the Chieftains predominantly rushed during the game, accumulating 257 yards to the Royals 120.

Blue Devils leave Pirates scoreless

BLUFFTON - Carey didn't give Bluffton a chance, holding it scoreless in a 26-0 win.

The Blue Devils (1-1) rushed for 274 yards, 229 more than Bluffton (45 total).

Carey had six players on the rushing attack, with Justin Meek leading the way with seven carries for 92 yards.

Matt Holsinger ran 12 times for 62 yards and added a touchdown.

Bucks slip against Mounties

ASHLAND - On paper Buckeye Central looked stronger but on the field, Mapleton prevailed, winning 36-32.

The Bucks outrushed Mapleton 328-125 yards but was weaker in passing (129-198) and had four fumbles.

Michael Adkins led the charge for BC rushing 40 times for 247 yards while Grant Loy threw four passes for 129 yards.

BG wallops Redmen

FOSTORIA - Andrew Dennis ran for three short scores and Bowling Green's defense locked down Fostoria and added a score of its own Friday in a 31-0 victory.

Dennis scored on runs of 1 yard in the first quarter and 5 in the second to help the Bobcats (1-1) take a 17-0 lead by halftime.

He tacked on a 3-yard TD run with 4:58 left in the third quarter, and Brock Powers returned an interception 65 yards for a score a little more a minute later.

Bowling Green's other points came on Andy Fisher's 37-yard field goal just before halftime.

Quinn Donaldson led all players with six carries for 59 yards for Bowling Green, and Ryan Emans had two catches for 44 yards.

The Bobcats managed on 142 yards on the ground and 77 through the air, but those were vast improvements over Fostoria's totals, which amounted to 19 yards rushing and 34 through the air.

Both teams were hampered by penalties: 10 for 80 yards for Bowling Green, and 12 for 99 yards for the Redmen (0-2).

Eagles soar against Rams

NORTH ROBINSON - Colonel Crawford took charge early and never let up, only allowing a score in the fourth quarter to secure a 34-6 win against Upper Sandusky.

Tylor Pritchard produced the lone score for Upper Sandusky (1-1) with a one yard run three minutes into the final quarter.

Pritchard also led the team with 74 yards rushing and 145 yards passing.

Upper Sandusky's only lead came in rushing, tallying 153 yards to the Eagles 137.
