Hopewell-Loudon had the medalist, but New Riegel took the match. Christian Madsen fired a 38 for the Chieftains, but New Riegel's team effort was enough to edge out H-L 162-164 in a tri-match also including Lakota, at Seneca Hills. The Raiders finished with a team score of 178.
New Riegel's Korey Williams fell one stroke shy tying for medalist honors carding a 39. Also for the Blue Jackets, Brady Hall shot a 40, Brandyn Reinhart carded a 41 and Andrew Hohman fired a 42 as the Blue Jackets remained unbeaten (7-0) on the year.
For Hopewell-Loudon (5-2) backing Madsen was Jarid Gelinas with a 41, Aric Creeger who shot 42 and Bryce Gorrell who carded a 43.
The low-man for Lakota (1-4) was Hunter Chalfin who shot a 41. Makayla Dull fired a 42, Kevin Woodruff shot 46 and Nate Ray posted a 49.
Matching scores give match to Mohawks
BETTSVILLE - Thursday at Nature Trails, St. Wendelin epitomized balance. Each of the Mohawks' top four players shot identical scores as St. Wendelin earned a 168-184 dual match victory over Old Fort.
Kieran Campbell, Dalton Murray, Gabe Walters and Peter Campbell all fired 42s in the win.
Old Fort (3-4) was paced by match medalist Matt Hill and his 41. He was backed up by Adam Alexander with a 46, Rob Root with a 48 and Maison Steyer with a 49.
Twin 39s lead Tigers
GALION - Two Galion players shot a 39 Thursday in a 162-184 North Central Conference win over Buckeye Central at Galion Country Club.
Clayton Kendall and Seth VanDine had the matching scores for the Tigers (5-1, 5-1 NCC).
Adam McGinnis shot a 44 for the Bucks (3-2, 2-2).
Truckers clip TC
NORWALK - Mason Berry shot a 1-over 36 Thursday to key Norwalk's 174-177 win over Columbian at Eagle Creek.
Jacob Gilson backed Berry with a 41 for the Truckers (2-2).
The Tornadoes (0-4) got a 40 from Bryce Creamer.
