A 200-block Benner Street woman reported Tuesday night a door on her residence was open when she returned home. Police checked the residence and found nothing out of place.

The theft of jewelry was reported Tuesday afternoon in the 1000 block of West TR 120.
A person went to the station Wednesday afternoon to speak to a deputy about fraudulent checks.
Fostoria reports
A 900-block South Union Street man reported Tuesday afternoon his residence was broken into and a DVD player, water meter and copper tubing were taken. Christopher E. Baker, 22, of Fostoria, was charged with possession of criminal tools and receiving stolen property, according to the report.
A car hauler was reported stolen Tuesday evening in the 400 block of McDougal Street.
A bicycle was reported stolen Wednesday morning in the 200 block of West South Street.
State Patrol
A one-vehicle rollover accident was reported Wednesday afternoon on CR 592. A spokeswoman from the Seneca County Sheriff's Office said one person was transported to Fostoria Community Hospital. Further details were unavailable from the State Highway Patrol Wednesday evening.
Fostoria fire
Firefighters were called to 322 W. Center St. Wednesday morning for the report of smoke coming from the structure. Upon arrival, firefighters found a mattress and box spring on fire. The fire was extinguished and firefighters ventilated the home.
