Keith Lynn Houdeshell, 70, of Arlington, passed away at 3:16 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 25, 2012, at the Arlington Good Samaritan Center.
He was born on July 2, 1942, to the late Henry and Thelma (Miller) Houdeshell in Findlay.
He is survived by a nephew, Brian (Judy) Prater of Findlay; a niece, Teresa (Larry) Shuck of Arlington; a brother-in-law, Tom (Ruth) Prater of Findlay; 12 great-nieces and nephews, Joshua (Angie) Light, Morgan Light, Cody (Jessica) Light, Laura Shuck, Amber Prater, Allison Hauck, Brianna, Bailey and Kaleigh Prater, Jenny (Jason) Shuck-Hutton, Daniel and Bryan Shuck; and four great-great nieces and nephews, Connor, Braxton, Gracyn and Evan.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Houdeshell; and a sister, Norma R. Prater.
Mr. Houdeshell was a 1960 graduate of Arlington High School and received his bachelor's degree from Ohio Northern University and master's degree from Heidelberg University. He student-taught at Hardin-Northern and retired from New Riegel High School after teaching math, history and computer classes for 33 years. He also coached girl's softball and high school basketball at New Riegel and was a member of Arlington United Methodist Church.
His funeral service is 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2012, at Crates Funeral Home, Arlington, with Pastor Douglas Stockton officiating.
Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Arlington Cemetery.
