Michael Harry Rountree, 63, of Tiffin, passed away Saturday evening, Aug. 25, 2012, at Bridge Hospice Care Center in Findlay.
He was born Dec. 4, 1948, in Wichita, Kansas, to Fred Hurley and Jacqueline Louise (Gautreau) Rountree. He married Joy Weber on June 4, 2002, and they moved to Tiffin in 2003.
Survivors include his wife, Joy, of Tiffin; father and stepmother, Fred (Margaret) Rountree of Lancaster, Pa.; three children, Cindi (Robert) Fallen, Michael (Nicole) Rountree II and David Rountree, all of Maryland; one stepson, Travis (Jenn) Barrett of Indiana; one granddaughter, Darci Bess of Maryland; and a brother, Rick Rountree of Pennsylvania.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Jacqueline, and a brother, Tom Rountree.
Mr. Rountree graduated from high school in Hershey, Pa. and later received his associate's degree. He worked for Hilltop Energy Inc. in Lisbon as a technical representative for explosives. He enjoyed golfing and life. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Air Force for eight years until his discharge in 1975.
His wishes were to be cremated with no services.
