A person was taken to the emergency room by ambulance after a bicycle accident in the 100 block of South Monroe Street Saturday afternoon.
Fostoria accidents
Heather C. Saalman, 17, of Kansas, Ohio, was cited with assured clear distance after a five-vehicle accident at North US 23 and Thomas Street Aug. 17. Another driver, Maria D. Pardo, 27, of Belmore, and a passenger, Sisto Pardo, 3, of Fostoria, were taken by ambulance to Fostoria Community Hospital. Another driver, Jennifer Huff, 40, of Risingsun, also was taken by ambulance to Fostoria Community Hospital.
A person reported Sunday afternoon a bicyclist struck a car at West Tiffin and South Countyline streets.
Tiffin fire
Firefighters were called to an alarm system activation at 103 Shepherd Drive Saturday afternoon. There was no fire, and it was unintentional.
Fostoria fire
Firefighters were called to ventilate smoke from a house at 313 E. Center St. early Sunday morning. It was caused by unattended cooking.
