Christina "Chris" Coleman, 78, of Tiffin, passed away Wednesday morning, Aug. 22, 2012, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay.
She was born June 10, 1934, in Bootle, England, to James and Ivy Mae (Edwards) Cummins. She married Charles L. Coleman Oct. 3, 1953, and he passed away Sept. 28, 1992.
Survivors include two sons, Charles "Steve" (Jane) Coleman of Tiffin and Ron (Penny) Coleman of Newport Richey, Fla.; two daughters, Carol (Larry) Layton of Olympia, Wash., and Chrissy (Andy) Smith of Van Buren; one brother, James (June) Cummins of Bootle, England; 11 grandchildren, Dorothy (Eric Peinl) Degman, Timothy Layton, William Layton, Candi (Jamie) Ludwig, Eric (Beth) Coleman, Jacob Coleman, Liz Coleman, Ivy Coleman, Zachary Smith, Isaac Smith and Alexandria Smith; two great-grandchildren, Cole and Kacie Ludwig; and many nieces and nephews.
Also preceding her in death were her parents; two brothers, Dennis and John Cummins; and two sisters, Marie Beeson and Margaret Fletcher.
Chris was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin. She worked at Copeland Industries, Fostoria, and also was a nurse's aide. Chris was a homemaker, seamstress and enjoyed crocheting, quilting and working on crossword puzzles. She most of all loved spending time with her friends and family.
Her memorial service will be 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 26, 2012, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, OH 44883, (419) 447-2424, with the Rev. Gary Walters officiating. Burial will be at a later date.
Friends may visit with the family 1-4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
