A former private tennis coach accused of having sexual contact with a 17-year-old student had his bond revoked Wednesday after allegedly having contact with the girl.
David A. Kimmet, 64, of Tiffin, appeared in court Wednesday morning where visiting Judge Russell Wiseman revoked his personal recognizance bond and remanded him into the custody of the Seneca County Sheriff's Office. Kimmet's new bond was set at $250,000.
Kimmet, who was arrested in June for allegedly having sexual conduct with one of his students between January and March this year, allegedly violated his bond by having contact with the girl at his residence Saturday evening.
Earlier this month, Kimmet pleaded not guilty to two counts of sexual battery and one count of illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material.
A trial is scheduled to begin Oct. 23.
