CAREY - Lincoln Stansberry and Zack Boes each fired a 39 for Carey in what amounted to a practice round Monday as the Blue Devils played against a Mohawk squad with only three players.
Grant Wentling added a 46 for Carey at Bob's Countryside.
J.W. Riedel's 42 led the Warriors.
Davidson leads, Steyer saves OF
BETTSVILLE - Cole Davidson, a first year senior golfer for Old Fort, fired a team-best 38, but it was Maison Steyer's 46 that made the difference as the Stockaders moved to 2-0 by edging Gibsonburg, 170-172 at Nature Trails.
Bettsville also played, shooting 215.
"Fourth man came in and saved us," Old Fort coach Matt Combs said. "We got a great round from Cole Davidson, that was his best round for nine holes."
Gibsonburg's Cyrus Foos was the medalist, shooting a 36, while the Bobcats' were led by Ryan Hager's 46.
Warriors turn back Buckeye Central
NEW WASHINGTON - Katelynn Kinley shot a 49 Monday to key Mohawk's 220-229 win over Buckeye Central at Cranberry Hills.
Chelsea Clinger backed Kinley with a 50 for the Warriors.
Lydia Shealy's 52 led the Buckettes, and Maddie Fagan carded a 55.
TC vaults to 4-0
FOSTORIA - Columbian improved to 4-0 Monday with a 5-0 win over Fostoria.
Alex Cramer blanked Cori Garrett 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 singles, Kelly Bishop beat Kendall McCoy 6-0, 6-2 at No. 2 and Sarah Guzowski shut out Pernille Knudsen 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3.
Tornadoes Audrey Vrancken and Allie Elchert defeated Lauren Risner and Alyssia Sandoval 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 doubles.
Kelsey Drown and Ashley Niedermier turned back Redmen Autumn Affholder and Jillian Smith 6-1, 6-0 at No. 2 doubles.
Smith fuels Calvert's title run
OREGON - Olivia Smith won to lead Calvert to the girls title, and Austin Schultz clocked in second in the boys meet to highlight efforts by the Senecas at the Northwest Ohio Catholic Schools Association meet at Maumee Bay State Park.
Smith crossed the line in 21:05 for her victory, Morgan Smith ran third (22:18) and Sydney Berlekamp took fifth (22:55) as Calvert beat Sandusky St. Mary 28-57 for the girls crown.
Marisa Horn added an eighth (23:23) for the Senecas and Corinne Harris ended 11th (23:34).
Schultz finished second in 17:46 in the boys race to help Calvert take fourth with 76 points, one point behind Cardinal Stritch.
Ren Boehler added a 14th (20:27) for Calvert.
Sandusky St. Mary beat Norwalk St. Paul 49-61 for the boys title.
Rams jump all over Presidents
MARION - Brandon Miller scored four goals and Shin Nagahama had two goals and two assists Monday as Upper Sandusky thumped Marion Harding 7-2.
Nagahama, Miller and Taylor Emerick staked the Rams (2-0) to a 3-0 lead in the first 10 minutes of play, but the Presidents (0-1) battled back to trail by a goal at intermission.
It was all Upper Sandusky from there.
Miller scored three more times and Nagahama had another goal as the Ram roared away.
Miller and Emerick each added an assist, and William Amert stopped three shots.
Dillon Hoskin turned back nine shots for Harding.
TC evens mark
Mike Brady scored twice and only weather halted Columbian's domination Monday as the Tornadoes beat Clyde 5-1 to improve to 1-1.
The Tornadoes never trailed, getting unassisted goals from Spencer Pauley and Brady for a 2-0 halftime lead.
Hunter Stark and Garrett Bean pushed the lead out to 4-0 before Clyde's Zach Taylor booted a goal six minutes into the second half.
Brady added his third goal 11 minutes later and the game was called because of lightning nine minutes after that.
Pauley also added an assist and Josh Gibson had three save in goal for TC, which outshot the winless Fliers (0-2) by a 22-7 margin. Jeff Matter tallied 17 shots for Clyde.
