Geoffrey Michael "Mike" Craig, 67, of Fremont, died Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012, at Elmwood at the Springs, Green Springs.
Mike was born March 12, 1945, in Fremont, to Roy L. and M. Louise (Young) Craig. He graduated from Green Springs High School in 1963 and had retired in 2005 from the Whirlpool Corp.
Mr. Craig was a U.S. Navy Seabee veteran, having served two tours in Vietnam and receiving two Bronze Stars.
He enjoyed attending the SCRAP events and restoring farm machinery; as well as, his visits to Las Vegas and other casinos. Mike was a member of the VFW, Fremont, the Green Springs American Legion and the Eagles.
Mike is survived by his mother, Louise of Green Springs; four siblings, Marcia (Jon) Abbott of Tiffin, Linda (Tom) Dickman and Frederick (Chris) Craig, both of Fremont and Lou Anne Craig of Castalia; four nieces; seven nephews; and his former wife, Carolyn (Askins) Craig of Green Springs.
He was preceded in death by his father and brother, John J. "Tuna" Craig in 2011.
It was Mike's wish to donate his body to science. A family and military service will be at a later date at Green Springs Cemetery.
