William H. "Bill" Brookman, 86, of Fostoria, passed away at 10:25 p.m. Monday, Aug. 6, 2012, in Findlay.
He was born March 14, 1926, in Arcadia, to George and Gertrude (Ruehle) Brookman. He married Donna Rose Hoffbauer June 30, 1956, at St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria, and she survives in Fostoria.
Also surviving are two sons, Richard Brookman of San Diego, Calif., and Jeffery Brookman of Fostoria; and a grandson, Chad Brookman of Carlsbad, Calif.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Ruth Gordon, Martha Velliquette and Pearl Hampton.
Bill retired in 1980 from Honeywell, Fostoria, as a set-up man, after 30 years of service. He was a member of the Fostoria Eagles Club and will be remembered for his fond passion for go-carts and fishing.
Visitation is 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 10, 2012, at Hoening Funeral Home, 242 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria, OH 44830, (419) 435-8200.
His funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Larry Knigga presiding. Burial will follow at St. Wendelin Cemetery, Fostoria.
