The Bascom Fire Foundation would like to thank everyone who supported the Fire Fighters' Festival July 14 at Meadowbrook Park.
A special thanks to the generous donors; without their help, our festival wouldn't be such a success.
Thanks to all who sold tickets door to door in their neighborhood.
The churches in the fire district did a great job preparing and serving the food in the ballroom.
Many members of the community helped set up and work the night of the festival. The Bascom Lions grilled the hamburgers and washed many roasters. The Edgar Coleman family has done a wonderful job providing things for the younger children for many years. Cotton candy was provided by Deb Tiell of Tiell Financial Group and her staff.
Thanks to all who helped in any way. Thanks to all who came to enjoy the weather, food, fellowship and fun.
All fire trucks and safety equipment were on display. Proceeds from the festival will be used to update fire equipment and other safety equipment.
Cash awards were won by: $500, Jessica Boos; $100, Shirley Ward and Samantha Smith; $50, Carla Torok, Shere Butturff, Linda Gosche and Paul Brickner; $20, Amy Foster, Adam Creeger, Mike Rybka, Alfred E. Brickner and Beth Hartmus BoBo.
