SANDUSKY - August 16 marks 35 years since the passing of Elvis Presley, the "King of Rock and Roll." The Sandusky State Theatre is to present "The Impossible Dream," an Elvis Presley tribute starring Sterling Pollaro, at 8 p.m. Saturday.
Pollaro was born and raised in Jamestown, N.Y. His love of Elvis began in 1977, when he was 10 years old. Over the next 20 years, Pollaro performed solo at many venues, including the Reg Lenna Civic Center, Seneca Allegany Casino, Lancaster Opera House and the Summer Wind Cruise Line.
Pollaro's goal is to present the audience with a glimpse into the past, when Elvis graced the stage in Las Vegas. He recreates the 1970 concert tours. His family-oriented performance appeals to fans of all ages.
