A 64-year-old man facing several sex-related charges for allegedly having sexual conduct with a 17-year-old girl appeared in court Wednesday where he pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Tiffin resident David A. Kimmet pleaded not guilty to two counts of sexual battery, a third-degree felony, and two counts of illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material, a fifth-degree felony, Wednesday afternoon in Seneca County Common Pleas Court.

Kimmet, who was the victim's private tennis coach, was arrested in June for allegedly having sexual conduct with her between January and March this year. Numerous electronic instant messages that were of a graphic sexual nature believed to have been communication between Kimmet the girl were found during an investigation. Nude photographs of the girl also were found.
