REPUBLIC - Republic village council moved into an executive session immediately for the discussion of personnel issues during a special session Tuesday night.
When in open session again, Mayor Bruce Lambert appointed Crystal Fields as the village's new administrator with council's approval. They also accepted an emergency ordinance for the appointment.
Members also voted to terminate Bill Collins as a maintenance worker and he will not be replaced.
Council is to meet at 6:30 p.m.
Monday.
