Harold Lloyd Barlekamp, 82, formerly of Oxford Lane, Fostoria, died Thursday, July 26, 2012, in the Charlotte Hall Veterans Home, Charlotte Hall, Md. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean War.
He was born March 23, 1930, in Risingsun, to Earl and Mary (Allen) Barlekamp. He married Doris Alice Rader May 25, 1951, in Findlay, and she survives in White Plains, Md.
He also is survived by a son, Harold "Curt" (Tammy) Barlekamp of Rawson; two daughters, Linda (Gene) Murray of Fostoria and Myra (Ronald) Stalnaker of Hughesville, Md.; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Verneda Peggy Welty; four brothers, Robert, Dean, Dale and Glenn Barlekamp; and a grandson.
His funeral is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2012, at Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, 301 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria, with the Rev. Rich Rakay officiating. Burial will follow at Knollcrest Gardens, Arcadia, with military honors performed by the United Veterans of Fostoria.
Visitation is 6-8 p.m. today, July 31, and one hour prior to the funeral at the funeral home.
