Mary Alice Hartson

Mary Alice Hartson, 81, of Tiffin, passed away Monday morning, July 30, 2012, at her home surrounded by family.

She was born April 5, 1931, in Tiffin, to Charles and Martha (Schiley) Everhart Sr. She married William E. Hartson Aug. 20, 1960.

Survivors include three sons, Richard Everhart and George (Lucy Moon) Hartson, both of Tiffin, and Ricky Jo (Jennifer) Hartson of Sycamore; six daughters, Barbara (George) Nimocks of Bloomville, Jan Hill of Tiffin, Rose Brown of Oak Hill, Julia (Michael) Reinhart of Alvada, Brenda (Edward Plechter) Carter of Bloomville and Cheryl (Orlando) DeLaRosa of New Riegel; five brothers, Lewis (Anna) Everhart, Charles (Alma) Everhart, Clayton (Marge) Everhart, Clifford (Donna) Everhart and Raymond (Nancy) Bailey, all of Tiffin; two sisters, Clara (Dave Hohman) Best of Tiffin and Roberta (Bill) Rowe of Kentucky; 35 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son-in-law, Carl Hill; brother, William Bare; sister, Patricia Fearer; a granddaughter; and a great-granddaughter.

Mary enjoyed painting ceramics, puzzles, cross-stitching, traveling and animals. She was a member of Carey Conservation.

Her funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 2, 2012, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, OH 44883, (419) 447-2424, with Pastor Tim Grimes officiating. Burial will follow at Seneca Memory Gardens, rural Tiffin.

Friends may visit with the family 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1, at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice Care or to a charity of the donor's choice.
