An exhibition of watercolor paintings by Laura Barnhardt Corle of Findlay is to open with a public reception and refreshments at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Tiffin Art Guild Art Gallery, 178 S. Washington St., Tiffin.
Corle is an adjunct instructor of art at Ohio Northern University where she teaches in the nursing completion program at Blanchard Valley Hospital. She also is a freelance artist in the Findlay area and teaches eight-week watercolor classes in her studio.
Corle exhibits nationally. Rural buildings, animals and landscapes are her preferred subjects. Because some of her watercolors are large and detailed, she often begins with a photograph. She can take the picture back to the studio, away from changing light, insects or inclement weather.
