Levear L. ‘Pat’ Groves

Levear L. "Pat" Groves, 89, of Tiffin, passed away unexpectedly early Saturday morning in Tiffin Mercy Hospital.

She was born April 16, 1923, in Bucyrus, to Harold and Mabel (Shaw) Hall. She formerly was married to Romey Groves.

Mrs. Groves is survived by one daughter, Ida Smith of Bloomville; one son, Romey Groves Jr. of Tiffin; eight grandchildren, Kevin, Terry, Mickey, Gail, Randy, Todd, Jill and Debbie; several great-grandchildren and great- great-grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy Gardner of Bucyrus; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Jerry and Harold; two brothers; and one sister.

She worked for Commission on Aging in Tiffin for more than 20 years and lived many years in the Tiffin and Bloomville areas. She was a fun-loving person who enjoyed visiting with friends at McDonald's and playing the lottery.

Her funeral service is 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Oakwood Cemetery.

Friends may call 4-7 p.m. Monday, July 30, at the funeral home.
