Wanda L. Gottfried, 92, of Tiffin, died at 4:10 a.m. Friday, July 27, 2012, at Elmwood at the Shawhan Assisted Living, Tiffin.
Wanda was born July 28, 1919, in Clinton Township, to Walter N. and Irene C. (Baugher) Fox. She married Robert J. Gottfried Jan. 5, 1941, in Republic, and he preceded her in death Aug. 18, 2010.
Wanda is survived by two children, Donald R. (Jenny) Gottfried of Fremont and Gary R. (Mitzie) Gottfried of Cedarville; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Wanda retired from Cooperative Extension Service and was a member of Melmore United Methodist Church. She was a 1937 graduate of Melmore High School.
Wanda also was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Lois Agerter; a grandson, Christopher Gottfried; and a great-granddaughter, Lindsay Meredith.
Her funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday, July 30, 2012, at Engle-Shook Funeral Home, 135 N. Washington St., Tiffin, OH 44883, (419) 447-1221, with the Rev. Jane Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, Tiffin.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Sunday, July 29 at the funeral home.
