To whom it may concern,
Over the past years, the residents of Seneca County have enjoyed coming together one day each summer to participate in the Sandusky River Clean Sweep. Since it began in 1998, volunteers have removed tens of thousands of pounds of trash, as well as hundreds of tires from the river helping to beautify and preserve one of the state's most scenic rivers. This year, Seneca County residents, alongside several community organizations being lead by the city of Tiffin and the Seneca County Board of Commissioners, again will rise to the challenge with expectations of maintaining the river's quality by cleaning not only the river but its banks as well.
If you donated two years ago, we would like to express our deep appreciation of your donation to the Clean Sweep. Your past support as made it possible to provide all our volunteers with T-shirts and a picnic lunch, and pay all the trash disposal costs. If you have not donated in the past, your contribution would assist with the above-mentioned items, as well as door prizes and food coupons that provide an additional "thanks" to all Clean Sweep volunteers.
Aug. 18, the city of Tiffin and Seneca County Board of Commissioners are joining together to bring you this year's Sandusky River Clean Sweep. We are asking for your support in any way for you can offer, whether it is educational displays or handouts, food, door prizes or a monetary contribution. Any and all support will be greatly appreciated. All donations will be recognized on a banner at the picnic. Donors contributing $100 or more in monetary contributions and/or supplies by Friday will receive their name on T-shirts provided to the volunteers. Provide the name as it should appear on the T-shirt and mail your contribution. All other contributions need to be made prior to Aug. 3. You may contact Andria Marquis at (419) 937-4374.
Also, if you or your business would like to supply volunteers to staff a site, include the number of individuals on the form.
Thank you again for your support,
Sincerely,
Megan Brown, chairwoman,
Sandusky River Clean Sweep
