Three people were injured Wednesday afternoon in a three-vehicle accident at East US 224 and SR 67.

Trooper Mark Sorg of the State Highway Patrol said Aaron Criblez, 27, of Bloomville, had been westbound on US 224 when he struck the rear of a vehicle driven by Kimberly Kelley, 47, of Willard, causing her to strike an eastbound vehicle driven by Betty Peterson, 68, of Defiance.

Kelley had been stopped at the intersection and waiting to turn onto SR 67 when the accident occurred.

Sorg said Kelley and Peterson were transported to Mercy Tiffin Hospital and a passenger in Peterson's vehicle, Dorothy Peterson, 69, of Defiance, was transported by Life Flight to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center.

Criblez was not injured.

According to reports from the Seneca County Sheriff's Office, Bloomville and Republic Fire and EMS were called to the accident, which was reported just after 3:30 p.m.
