REPUBLIC - A toddler was taken to Mercy Tiffin Hospital after being bitten by a dog over the weekend.
According to a Seneca County Sheriff's Office report, a woman at 414 S. Kilbourne St. reported at 5:50 p.m. Saturday her 2-year-old had been bitten in the face by the family's dog.
Deputy Troy Gibson said the dog was a 5-year-old German shepherd, and he did not know what provoked it.
Seneca County Dog Warden's Office is handling the investigation. A message was left there Sunday evening.
