Pair rescue man from sinking car
Hats off to two Tiffin residents, Rob Bish and Bill Kaminski, who rescued a man who had driven his car into a marina Sunday at Catawba Island.
Bish, an off-duty firefighter and EMT, and Kaminski dove in and swam to the car, then broke the back window to allow the occupant to exit the sinking vehicle.
Extremely ambitious
A tip of the hardhat to members of Seneca County Home Builders Association and Habitat for Humanity workers involved in an "extreme build" today at 252 Third Ave. The crew hopes to frame the house, install exterior doors and windows and get it under roof by 11 p.m.
They may redefine the phrase, "all in a day's work."
