Larry A. Hoffman, 70, of Fostoria, died Thursday morning, July 19, 2012, in the emergency room at Fostoria Community Hospital.
He was born Feb. 19, 1942, in Tiffin, to Ervin L. and Mabel (Biller) Hoffman. He married Sandra J. Smith Dec. 8, 1962, in Bascom, and she survives.
Other survivors include a son, Aaron (Abby) Hoffman of Tiffin; a daughter, Dawn (Anthony) McDonald of Tiffin; two grandchildren, Zachary Shaw and Douglas McDonald; two brothers, Rev. James (Polly) Hoffman and Robert Hoffman, both of Tiffin; and a sister, Vonda Hoover, also of Tiffin.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Ruth Brown and Judy Romowsky.
Larry was a U.S. Army veteran and a life member of Tiffin AMVETS. He was an independent building contractor, retiring in 2004.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, July 23, 2012, at Fairmont Cemetery, Tiffin, with the Rev. James Hoffman officiating. The United Veterans Council of Tiffin will conduct military graveside services.
Visitation will be noon-1:30 p.m. Monday at Lindsey-Olds Funeral Home, 3085 S. SR 19, Bloomville.
