A Fostoria man was taken by Life Flight to a Toledo hospital after he was thrown from his motorcycle on CR 6 near SR 53 Monday night.
According to a release from the State Highway Patrol, James Beers, 53, had been eastbound on CR 6 around 11:15 p.m. when he lost control of his 2006 Harley Davidson, drove off the right side of the road and struck a ditch. His motorcycle overturned and he was then thrown from it.
Beers was taken by Life Flight to University of Toledo Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, according to the release.
Alcohol was not believed to have been a factor and the accident remains under investigation. Citations are pending.
